Bret Williams

Tennis Director

We are pleased to announce Bret Williams as the new Tennis Director at Hamilton Lakes Swim & Tennis Club. Bret most recently served as Director of Junior Tennis at Starmount Forest Country Club, where he began working in 2018. During his time at Starmount, he ran a highly successful junior clinic program as well as various club and USTA events. Bret also served as head coach of the men's and women's club-level tennis teams at High Point University, and was head tennis professional at Bermuda Run Country Club. Bret earned his USPTA Certification in 2017 and became a certified pickleball instructor in 2019. Bret is a native of Mocksville, NC. He graduated from Pfeiffer University, where he played collegiate tennis and served as captain in his senior year. He was ranked in the top 10 in both singles and doubles in the USTA Southern region in 2016. When he is not on the courts, Bret spends time with his family - his wife, Leslie; their 2-year old daughter, Susannie Jean; and baby boy Reyn! You can reach Bret via email @ bret@hamiltonlakes.org.

Stephen Miller

Head Teaching Pro

Born and raised in Greensboro, NC, Stephen is a USPTA certified tennis instructor who has served as Assistant Tennis Professional at Sherwood Swim & Racquet Club, and most recently Starmount Forest Country Club. He attended Pfeiffer University on a tennis scholarship, and served as team captain his senior year. Bret and Stephen were even doubles partners for two years while there! After college Stephen spent two years playing professionally and teaching tennis at Crandon Tennis Park in Key Biscayne, FL, home of the Miami Open. During this time he was selected to be a hitting partner at the 2016 Miami Open, where he played with some of the top players in the world. In 2018 Stephen earned a singles ranking of #1 in NC and #2 in the South. Stephen married his wife Katie, a former Mrs. North Carolina United States and violinist, in 2017. They have two beautiful daughters, Sophia and Lena.

Stacey Adams

Pro Shop Attendant/Gate City Representative

Stacey moved to Greensboro with her husband and son in 2017, and began working in the Hamilton Lakes pro shop soon after. Stacey also works for GRETA, the local USTA Community Tennis Association, as the junior tennis coordinator. At Hamilton Lakes, Stacey assists with ladies night and acts as the HL Executive Committee Member for the Gate City Interclub league.
