POOL ACTIVITIES

LAP SWIMMING

Lap swimming will be available Monday, Wednesday and Friday from
7:00 A.M.-9:00 A.M. in the Main Pool (50 Meter Course) and at throughout the day in the Lap Pool.

WATER VOLLEYBALL

Water Volleyball is a big event at Hamilton.  Adults (16 and over) play on both Saturday and Sunday from 4 to 6 pm.

Adult Water Volleyball is also played on each Wednesday from 7:30 pm to 10 pm.  Players traditionally "pass the hat" during the evening in order to purchase food and beverages.

BUMBLE BEE CLINICS

Bumble Bee Clinics are for swimmers who are not quite ready to be on the swim
team. Children who cannot swim a whole lap alone, but still can swim and might be
close to doing strokes will benefit from these clinics.  After all the Bumble Bee clinics are over, if we feel the swimmer can graduate to the Hornets team then we will make the parents aware.

If you are in doubt about joining the Bumble Bee Clinics vs the Hornets team, we recommend you begin with Bumble Bee. There is never a time that is too late to register to be on swim team. During the first days of clinics if we see a swimmer is too advanced, we will allow them to stop Bumble Bees and register to be on the Hornets team. Coach Cecchini believes "it is always better to move forward rather than back tracking."

Some of the goals for bumble bee’s to know by the end of  all sessions are:

  • Blow bubbles (understand when to exhale and inhale)
  • Understand and be able to perform streamline
  • Float (back and stomach)
  • Swim Freestyle
  • Swim Backstroke
  • Begin learning the dive process
