SPECIAL EVENTS INFORMATION

Hamilton Lakes Work Party

The last two years, we have had a very successful spring work day (or two) to not
only keep our club one of the best looking clubs in town, but to keep it the most affordable club in town as well.  These type of volunteer activities are part of the reason why we have not needed to raise dues for 3 years!

This year's date is Saturday, March 13th from 8am to 1pm and we
encourage you to attend, even it is for only for an hour or two.
Feel free to bring your older kids if they can help because there are quite a few
tasks that need to be accomplished.

The hot coffee will start brewing at 7:30am and we hope to see you on the 13th, Rain or Shine!

This year we have a good many tasks again:

  • Painting the interior of the Tennis club house - 6 or so people, bring rollers brushes and drop clothes.
  • Building some extra seats at Tennis Deck - 4 people plus woodworking tools, nail gun would be great too, or battery screwdriver.
  • Fixing Pool Loungers - at least 4-5 people or more (we will teach you how) gloves needed as we use hot water.
  • Touch up painting and door cleaning inside main club house    2-3 people , bring brushes.
  • Erosion control -Digging up , dividing and replanting Loriope (Mondo grass) around Tennis Courts - perfect job for younger teen members - Bobby Suggs has offered to organize this - 10 or more would make it easy, bring gardening tools, fork spade etc.
  • Dig up and move stepping stones in front of club house 2 people - need spades.
  • Hedge and tree cutting along Tower rd  2-3 people , cutting tools.
  • Replanting of 6x Fire Bush's at new tanks - 4 people , spades & gloves.
  • Litter patrol and clean up around exterior of baby pool - as needed.
  • Tie up the windscreens around the pool. 2 people.
  • Ground preparations for concrete pouring at Drain close to tennis - bring spades and rakes.
  • Well pad prep / well house building
  • One additional task if we get someone to own and manage :
Framing and drywall for storage room in lifeguard room  , need saw, concrete nail gun, drywall screwdriver, taping tools

So as you see we have many things to do, pls RSVP to Rick (rick.abc@gmail.com) or Jean Eagan our manager at the Hamilton Lakes email, and let us know if you can / will do / manage or own any of the larger tasks where tools are needed.

Any and all help is appreciated and all help will help improve the club and our community
