AED available at Hamilton Lakes
Hamilton Lakes Swim and Tennis Club’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the purchase of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for the continued health and safety of our club members. An AED is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses potentially life threatening cardiac arrhythmias and is able to treat them through defibrillation. AEDs are designed to be simple to use and their use is taught in many First Aid, First Responder, and CPR classes.
The AED is located inside the clubhouse on the wall between the lifeguard break room and the front desk. The device is housed in a “Heart Station” and is easily accessible in case of an emergency. An alarm will sound when the AED case is opened. The AED will move to the Tennis Pro Shop after the pool is closed for the season and will be relocated back to the clubhouse for the 2012 swim season.
Our lifeguard staff has been fully certified in the use of the AED, along with our Club Manager, Jean Eagan, Tennis Director, Ricky McElreath, and Pro Shop Manager, Gail Roy. In addition, several members of the Board of Directors also participated in a training session. If any club member would like to participate in a future training session, please contact Jean Eagan at 855-7255 who will coordinate a time convenient for a future session.
We understand that the safety of our membership is of utmost importance and the Board is committed to doing all we can to provide our families with the safest, most comfortable and family friendly pool and tennis club in Greensboro.

Red Book Advertising Opportunity
Have you often wondered who to call if you need a reputable and local plumber, electrician, contractor, healthcare professional, landscape service/designer, etc.? The 2011 REDBOOK Directory will have a new Member Services Section. Our small business owner professionals advertise there to our 500+ family community. If you’d like more business and referrals from within our community, it’s a great place to advertise.
For a very small charge of $50 your business card is proudly published to all 500+ members and will also appear on the Hamilton Lakes’ website copy at www.hamiltonlakes.org. The REDBOOK is scheduled to be out soon so time is of the essence. Please see examples of the business card ads in the 2010 REDBOOK on our website.
The publishing deadline is June 15th so please contact Hamilton Lakes’ member, Charlie Davis at CBD_2005@yahoo.com or by cell phone 336-509-1804, who is coordinating this project for Hamilton Lakes! If you know of other businesses in the local area that want to participate, please have them contact Charlie as well.
If you are a 2011 Banner Sponsor, your business card ad is part of the package and will appear in the 2011 REDBOOK!
